The Greek Cyclades

The Greek islands are grouped into five clusters: the Argo-Saronic Islands, the Dodecanese, the North Aegean islands, the Sporades and the famous Cyclades-Kikládhes isles, a large but dense collection of islands and islets occupying the central part of the Aegean Sea.

The beautiful Cyclades islands form a circle around the sacred island of Delos where – according to Greek mythology – Poseidon, God of the sea, furious at the Cyclades nymphs turned them into islands!

The Cyclades island group is a perfect choice for island hopping with a skippered catamaran because it is an astounding combination of lifestyle, culture, history, cuisine, and natural beauty to easily compete with any of the world’s dreamy island escapes.

4 Examplary Cruises to Choose From

We offer three 7-day cruises and one 2-week cruise that always start on a Saturday and return on Friday. Starting point is always the harbor of Parikia on the island of Paros. There are flights to Paros International airport and we are happy to arrange transport from and to the airport. We can also arrange transport by boat from and to Mykonos.

All cruises are offered from April through October.

Note: all routes are directional suggestions and are dependent on wind and weather. The skipper knows the area and conditions extremely well and might decide to change the route, omit some of the stops or even add more. It’s all up to the Greek Gods, the skipper and your wishes. No matter what, we will make sure you will have an amazing time.

7-Day Minor Cyclades Cruise

Paros – Naxos (or Paros – Piso Livadi) – Kalando – Koufonisia – Amorgos – Iraklia – Antiparos – Paros

The Minor Cyclades cruise is our favorite sailing experience in Greece, and is working pretty well especially when the Meltemi winds are blowing strong.

It is a combination of some busy islands, like Naxos, with some tiny, quiet places of the small Cyclades island complex (Koufonisia, Schinoussa, and Iraklia). Here you will meet the real Cyclades! The sailing legs are not very long, ideal for beginners or for families with kids, leaving you plenty of time to enjoy your sailing cruise, swimming and relaxing under the summer sun. Early arrivals at the islands after the short sails give you enough time to walk or drive around the islands and explore the unique scenery, if you like.

7-Day Santorini Cruise

Paros – Ios – Santorini – Koufonisia –  Iraklia – Antiparos – Paros

The Santorini sailing cruise is also a combination of crowded islands and some quiet, small places in the Small Cyclades. The cosmopolitan island of Santorini is top of mind for all of our guests. And the visit is absolutely worth it - everybody loves it. For those who will chose this itinerary we have to note that since the north winds are dominant in the area, you will have a very easy downwind sailing leg to Santorini but on your way back you will have to motor a lot against the wind in order to get back to the more protected area south of Naxos.

Furthermore, especially from mid-June to mid-September, anchoring in Santorini is almost impossible due to lack of space in the marinas and congestion. It's an amazing trip especially if you sail outside of the high season in April/May/early June/late Sept/October. You are not going to find anything similar on the whole planet.

7-Day South-West Cyclades Cruise

Paros – Sifnos – Kimolos – Milos – Milos coastline – Poliegos – Antiparos – Paros

Wonderful beaches, exciting landscapes, a rich history, white-washed Cycladic villages and fine food are the highlights of the places you will visit during the tour. This is a route that you have to take if you love sailing and love stunning coastal sceneries. It is a combination of some bigger islands, like Milos, with some tiny, quiet places, like Kimolos and Poliegos. Some of the sailing legs are long, ideal for the experienced sailors but also some short legs to nearby islands. Distinctive topography and the pattern of some of the islands is due to the caldera of a volcano of the Pliocene period.

2-Week Full Cyclades Cruise

Naxos – Kalanto – Koufonissi- Amorgos – Sxoinousa – Iraklia – Ios – Thirasia – Folegandros – Kimolos – Milos – Polyaigos – Sifnos – Antiparos – Paros

Here you will meet the real Cyclades and some islands off the beaten path! If you look at how travel can change lives and you are the lucky one to have 2 weeks time to spend in the Greek Isles, then this tour may be for you. Without the need to pack and repack you can discover most of the Cyclades Islands on Ouna. Peek into all the ancient ruins you can, swim from the boat in secluded coves, discover the stars, discover touristic or more isolated islands, and visit a different restaurant each night (if there even is one!). It is a combination of some busy islands, like Naxos, with some tiny, quiet places like Polyaigos and Thirasia. You’ll get a good sense of why Greece is loved by so many travelers. The highlight of the cruise are the less known islands you will discover. Most of them can only be visited by private boat. The early arrivals on the islands give you the opportunity to walk or drive around in order to explore the unique scenery.
